Making this site was fun for me, but also at the same time very difficult.  I found that it was hard to find time when the whole group could meet at once.  Especially with this project being due along with big final papers in a few other classes; it was hard to make efficient time as we would have liked.  I believe I learned a lot while putting this site together.  I never imagined myself putting together a website.  I found it to be much easier then I had anticipated, and I look forward to making another one on my own sometime.

I believe that by doing this project it has opened up our eyes to our technological abilities.  Not only did we learn how to put together a website, we learned how to work together.  This project really required group effort especially with those who are computer illiterate. We were given the necessary tools to figure out how to get things done ourselves.  At first we were nervous, but I think in the end we created something we can continue to use for the rest of our careers.

When I first heard that we are going to make a website project I was truly terrified. Starting with issues that my technology skills are not  as great as they should be, ending with the fact that group projects do not bring many positive memories from previous years in school. Surprisingly putting this website project together was actually exciting, fun, interesting and mind changing experience.

I did not only learn something new, but got a lot out of it. As they say “you learn something new everyday” and I couldn’t agree more. Now I can do something like this by my self with out feeling overwhelmed and discourage. One more important thing is that i was able to use skills I learned from previous project, which was making a video. Also, I have something to look back at, to remember this fun experience, and amazing and hardworking people from my group. I will use this making a website project idea in my teaching years.

Being well educated in technology today goes a long way for an individual. Unfortunately, my skill level could use some tweaking and perhaps a seminar or two. It's strange to think back when I had computer classes twice a week in 5th grade compared to today, where the children I babysit for understand how to use an iphone at age 3.

This is the first experience I have had making a website and it was a lot less intimidating than I originally believed it to be. The process of building up our website was more of a pleasurable experience knowing we had a well laid out map of what to do by Weebly, and motivated members of our group. It was a little dicey when only one of our members was given a http account through NEIU, but we managed to work around it; a simple adjustment to problem solving. Allowing yourself to set aside time to become fluent in Weebly is all it really takes to create a good website.

Realizing how easy putting together a website is could mean a world of options in my lesson plans for my future art students. Combining quality learning techniques that they will benefit from in the future in computer science with art can be as inspirational as helping a child realize their future career in graphic design, computer art, etc. Becoming better acquainted with technology and realizing the benefits of doing so makes me understand the important connections between easily accessible methods of teaching, and communicating with students in a more effective manner.  This project helped flourish my skills as an art major as well as my skills to become a secondary art educator.

When I first found out we had to create a website for this project I was a little nervous because I have had no experience doing anything like that. I admit, I did used to have a Xanga and Myspace account when I was in middle/high school, so that helped me become more familiar and experienced with technology. I thought it might be a bit difficult for us to create a website but it actually was not as bad as I thought. When we first made the website we had some trouble publishing it online to Northeastern, and only one of our group members had an http account, but we eventually figured it out.

The website was pretty easy to edit although I did have some trouble adding pictures but I think it just may have been the internet connection on my computer. Everyone worked well together and we were able to create a well-designed informative website. I think this will definitely assist us in the rest of our classes and in our teaching careers as well, and we can also keep this in mind as a project idea for our future students. This project definitely helped us learn more about computer technology and its possibilities. If anyone is looking to make a website for a school project or just personal use, I would highly recommend Weebly, as it is pretty simple and easy to use.

Going into this website project I was nervous because I had never created a website before. The toughest part of the entire experience was figuring out when to meet with the group and put our collaborative efforts together. I currently work on a midnight shift at work right now so it was very difficult at times for me, but thankfully I partnered with a great group of individuals who were willing to work with me and it is because of them that this experience was so fun and successful.
The best part of this project is that, through cooperative learning, I was able to learn a new skill set with technology which will be highly beneficial in my future education and teaching experiences. Creating a website and utilizing it in my future classrooms is not only exciting but also an effective tool since everything nowadays is technologically enhanced. It is no secret that students use the internet on an everyday basis, so it is only natural that this internet usage should be extended into the classroom.
